Only drivers with a permit can drive through the historical center. Those who stay in hotels in the center are given special permits by their hotels.

Bologna is a major hub of the Italian railway system and therefore it is crossed by all the major national and international lines.
BY AIR
The international airport G. Marconi offers regular flights and low-cost flights, rapid connections for air passengers and freight to major Italian and foreign cities. There are numerous charter flights which connect Bologna once a week to many towns in Europe and beyond. The airport shuttle called "Aerobus" connects the airport to the center of town and the central railway station.
